We want as many quality deals as possible, whilst defending the community from scams and spam.
We've chosen to have a set of general guidelines - short statements that encapsulate how we think the community should work best - to steer our decision-making. While specific rules can really help in some cases, we've learned there are too many types of deals, retailers and ideas from members to expect any inflexible rules to cover every situation.
We've tried hard to make these rules as good as possible, but we're certain that they will need to adapt - maybe when something happens that we didn't think of, or as the market changes. We're very open to that, and not having too many hard-and-fast rules will help us be flexible.
Our Community Support team make hundreds of decisions a day and will still apply subjectivity when faced with different situations. So we hope these guidelines will improve transparency of our thought processes and intentions, and help you to challenge us if you think we're veering off course.
